This is the adorable Ben who is currently looking for his loving forever home. Ben has been in foster with the rescue since mid December. Ben needed to have a growth removed and ongoing eye condition rectified before we could offer him for adoption. We are delighted to say that he now has a clean bill of health and is fully up to date with all vaccinations. We were asked to help Ben after his owner could no longer have him; he had been in a boarding kennels for three months prior to him coming to us and spent a lot of time over the previous two years in the same kennels Ben has been in foster with another Kerry and has shown no signs of aggression. He's also been great when doggy visitors have come round to pay him a visit. Ben (In true Kerry spirit) is an energetic boy for his age and loves to play. He is also an inquisitive boy and into everything, Ben occasionally pulls on the lead but we are working on this and having been in kennels for so long he does occasionally forget where he should go to the toilet. He is eager to please and learning quickly. Ben is a really loving boy who loves a cuddle and loves to play with both dog and people alike. Once he's had his play, he's loves to lie down and chill out with you or the resident dog. Ben has also been great with the foster's children. We will consider rehoming Ben with other dogs and with children. If you're interested in giving beautiful Ben the loving forever home he deserves then please get in touch at the email address below. kerrybluerescue@gmail.com

Flynn loves games, he has learned how to play fetch. He loves a game of chase too, nothing better than a run around the garden with someone running after him. He loves to play with anything, including ropes, balls, teddies and cushions. Once he's tired out he loves relaxing in front of the fire on his bed with a teddy in his mouth. He'll always have a snooze there too. Flynn is a really loving boy who loves lots of cuddles and being wrapped in people's arms. He shows lots of love to his family and always returns love given him. Flynn is very protective of the house, if the bell rings he runs to the door barking and jumping on the door. If people are in the house he will bark out in the back garden the whole time. Flynn loves going for walks and has no problems putting on leads or haltis etc. He loves an investigation on walks, sniffing all around him but Flynn doesn't like other dogs and will react to them hen he sees them...even at a distance until they go out of sight. Whilst Flynn has shown not to like other dogs, be protective of the home and does need to be taught some lessons in acceptable etiquette he is an adorable, loving and playful boy who will love his owners unconditionally. Flynn has not been around children before and will only be rehomed with children over 12. If you would like to offer this loving boy a place in your heart and home then please get in touch with the rescue for an interest form. kerrybluerescue@gmail.com This is the adorable Ben who is currently looking for his loving forever home. Ben has been in foster with the rescue for approx 5 weeks now and is a real sweetheart. We were asked to help Ben after his owner could no longer have him; he had been in a boarding kennels for three months prior to him coming to us. During is time with us he has had a growth removed above his eye (which has been given the all clear), been neutered and had an ongoing eye condition treated and we're delighted to say that he has now been given a full bill of health by the vets which includes his eye condition which shouldn't need any further treatment other than daily cleaning. This means that we can finally start properly looking for his forever home. Ben has been in foster with another Kerry and has shown no signs of aggression. He's also been great when doggy visitors have come round to pay him a visit. Ben does pull on the lead a bit but the fosters are working on this and having spent so much time in boarding kennels in the last few years he occasionally forgets where he should go to the toilet but he is eager to please and learning quickly. Ben is a really loving boy who loves a cuddle and loves to play with both dog and people alike. Once he's had his play he's loves to lie down and chill out with you or the resident dog. Ben has also been great with the fosters grandchildren. As you'd expect as an 8 month old he is really energetic, active and playful. He is really loving and fully housetrained. He enjoys long walks responds well to commands, Sit ,Off & Down......"Meditate" is his favorite command to lie down. He is very intelligent and just standing up and pointing your finger to his bed, he gets the message. The Captain loves playing with toys, balls, collecting sticks and a game of tug. He is a very loyal and protective boy and likes to be where you are. He does not currently sleep in the bedroom but will sleep in the hall next to the room rather than go and sleep in his own bed, so he can be close to you. The Captain will chase a bird from here to forever , and sea gulls are very smart in playing with him and he is currently in the North of England. He swims well in the sea, and is excellent at being brushed, groomed, clipped and blow dryed after a shower. As with all puppy's he will challenge you at times on commands he knows well but responds very quickly to new challenges and tricks and learning them fast. Mental stimulation is very important to him. He loves cuddles and being told he is such a handsome boy. The captain eats twice per day on raw food and occasionally has a treat of a raw bone or chicken leg. We are working closely with "The Captain's" breeder with this rehoming. If interested in offering this adorable boy a loving forever home then please email the rescue on........kerrybluerescue@gmail.com To all Kerry lovers. If you can offer Ben a place in your home and hearts then please get in touch with the rescue on the email address below. Ben was put in a private kennels 3 months ago by his owners; only for them to ring the kennels last week and say they no longer wanted him back. Ben is currently being signed over to us for rehoming. Ben appears to be good with other dogs (though in true Kerry style likes to be vocal at them when in his pen) and is a really loving and friendly boy. We don't believe he has ever been around children and so he will only be rehomed with over 10's as a precaution only.......no other reason. Ben is up to date with vaccinations and the Kerry Blue Terrier Rescue will ensure he has a full veterinary check up before rehoming. Whilst little is known about Ben and that the Kennels are taking great care of him; no dog deserves to spend Christmas without a family and so we would please urge everyone to help by sharing him to try and find him his loving forever home before then. If interested then please email the rescue. Many Thanks Kerry Blue Terrier Rescue kerrybluerescue@gmail.com This is the stunning 4 year old Roah who is currently looking for her loving forever home. Roah has been in foster now for 3 weeks where she has made huge progress. She is absolutely lovely at home; very affectionate, loves fuss and cuddles and is now playing with toys. She particularly likes small soft toys and has a tendency to cheekily steal the cushions off the sofa. Roah also likes to help with all the household chores; cooking, washing, bedmaking and vacuuming and also goes in the study to help Martin with his work..... a real 'shadow' and loves to be wherever you are. Roah is a really loving girl who's full history is unknown but she is now making good eye contact and looks to the fosters for guidance - something she didn't do when she arrived. She is a really quick learner. Roah sleeps on her own in her bed in the kitchen at night with no problems, she likes the car and is fine being left on her own for a while if you have to go out. Roah now walks beautifully on the lead so long as there are no 'doggy' distractions around but she still is fond of other dogs or being introduced to them. She loves people and with the right family who have some patience and are prepared to manage and work with her socialisation she is going to make a wonderful addition and companion. Roah really deserves her loving forever home. If you're interested in offering this stunning girl a home as part of your family the please email the rescue for an application form. kerrybluerescue@gmail.com Carol Thorn The imaginatively named Kerry was in a rescue centre in Dorset when Mark found her for us. At over 10 years old she had already been rehomed once, hundreds of miles away, and sent (yes, sent not taken) back as ‘too aggressive at the vets, and unable to bond with a new owner’… and that was after just one week!! After some long conversations with the rescue centre, and with some sterling support from Mark, the rescue agreed that they would consider rehoming her to us if we went to visit several times to ensure compatibility before taking her. As the 6 hour round trip was physically difficult, they finally agreed that if we spent the day there, and Kerry and my existing dogs were ok together, then yes, they would let me take her home the same day… Phew! So we set off down to Dorset with Moya the 13 year old Jack Russell and Freddie the 10 year old lurcher, still unsure how they would get on and if it would be a wasted journey, but absolutely committed that we wouldn’t take Kerry home if any of the three dogs were going to be too distressed after their introductions. With some trepidation I went to meet Kerry alone at first, and was delighted to see such a waggy tail and happy little dog. Despite her age and health conditions (untreated Dry Eye means she has limited vision now, and cysts and lumps and bumps everywhere!). Introductions to Moya and Freddie (and of course Graham, my partner!) went better than expected and we all spent the rest of the afternoon in the Sensory garden, with all three dogs running around happily together. In true KBT style Kerry put Fred in his place when he got too boisterous, but he took it well considering. This is the adorable Flynn, an 18 month old Kerry Blue Terrier boy who is looking for his loving forever home after a far from perfect start in life. Flynn started his life being chained up outside before being put up for sale on a selling page. He wasn't sold and soon found himself in a rescue kennel. Sadly he didn't enjoy the kennel environment and someone thankfully stepped in and offered him a loving foster home where he currently is homed. Flynn is a really loving and energetic boy who is looking his loving forever home. Whilst in foster he will continue to be assessed but he is currently looking for a home where the owner can spend some time to continue to socialise and train him. He needs to be homed as an only dog or with a larger female (pending successful meet and greet) and with no children under 10. Flynn is currently in the Republic of Ireland and will ideally be re-homed as locally as possible but transportation can be arranged for the right home. suitability checks will be carried out The photo on the left below is how Flynn came into the rescue. He has now been groomed, neutered, vaccinated and has no known health issues. Flynn deserves a loving family who can show him lots of love. If interested please contact the rescue and we'll pass on your details. kerrybluerescue@gmail.com This is the stunning 4 year old Roah who is currently looking for her loving forever home. Roah travelled nearly 500 miles to get to her foster home where she continues to be assessed for behaviour and temperament. Roah is a very loving girl who's full history is unknown. She is happy sleeping downstairs but as soon as she sees the fosters in the morning it's fun time. She goes bouncing round the house from room to room jumping on the bed and certainly makes them all laugh. She's a real character. Roah came to us as a girl who dislikes other dogs and under foster sadly this does appear to be the case though she has had a sniff without issue of few dogs. It appears that she has had little socialisation in the past. She is a happy girl who loves a walk and has been great with all members of the foster family especially their 18 year old son. Whilst she didn't initially show any interest in toy play she is slowly getting to know how to participate. Roah needs an experienced forever home with someone who can shower her with love and continue with her training and socialisation. The home also needs to be dog free and with no children under 10. If you're interested in offering this stunning girl a home as part of your family the please email the rescue for an application form. kerrybluerescue@gmail.com We are delighted to announce that we are now taking pre-orders for our Kerry Blue Terrier 2017 calendar.
