It is with a heavy heart that Murphy's owners have asked the rescue to find 7 year old Murphy a new home whom they have had for 4 years.

Murphy is Dog Aggressive and his owners have taken many steps to ensure that he and other dogs are safe and this must be clearly understood by any potential owner. He is also uncomfortable around young children

Murphy is a very chilled out dog when he is with you cuddled up for the evening, he will make anything his chin rest and makes himself comfortable in his basket or on the bed.  
If you work during the day or leave him for hours on end he will not be happy and will wait in the window for you, but he won’t wreck any furniture and will be very happy to see you when you return. 

He responses to sit, down, off, up, here, come, wait (stay), paw, choose, no, leave, drop commands and takes good instruction from a strong leader. 

Murphy enjoys toys but there is one condition to adopting Murphy that is you also take his stuffed crocodile soft toy, it is his most treasured toy in the world he even had it when he came to us.

Murphy is exceptionally territorial, he will bark when he hears noises and protect you with his life. If you invite anyone to your home, he will demonstrate his bark. With introductions you must instruct him away and sit whilst leading your guest in, once approved he will be very chilled and accept many belly rubs from them.
After you get to know Murphy he will be very tolerant of you, you can relax, rough-house or play chase, but he is not good at fetch.

​Murphy will only be rehomed as an only dog and with no young children and needs a firm leader but he will shower you with love and become the most amazing and loyal boy you could wish for.
