Our Website is One Year Old Today!

We can't believe just how quickly the last year has gone and what a year it's been and we can't thank each and every one of our supporters and volunteers enough as without you none of this just wouldn't be possible. 

We had always intended to do a website but it took a little while longer than anticipated but how important it's turned out to be. It's fair to say that we wouldn't have the interest, support, following or help without the website and social media.

The last 12 months since we launched the website (5th June 2016) we have seen the Rescue move at a staggering pace and continually evolve. The Facebook page has seen it's followers more than double to nearly 500, the instagram page now has over 200 followers and we've received over 30,000 hits on the website with over 60,000 page views.
We are really proud of how far the Rescue has come and how much of a difference it's made to the lives of Kerrys (and their families) in need of help and support.

Whilst we'd had some successful rehomings prior to the website going live it was only once we had launched the site that the interest in the rescue really took off.  Sadly as a result so did the amount of Kerrys that needed rehoming, however at least with the rescue we can ensure that they are rehomed appropriately with love, understanding and care.

.......the last 12 months has seen us successfully;

• Register as an official breed specific rescue covering Great Britain for the Kerry Blue Terrier.
• Expand the rescue team and introduce new roles to enable us to fully support the Kerry Blue Terrier which includes a Rescue Treasurer, Rescue Secretary, National Rehoming Coordinator, Press and Media Contact & Co-National Rehoming Coordinator, Foster Coordinator, Aftercare Coordinator, Fundraising Coordinator, Scotland Rehoming Coordinator and also Behaviouralist support.
• Gain the backing of the Kerry Blue Terrier Club of England and the Kerry Blue Terrier Association of the UK which also gained us the successful recognition and endorsement from the UK Kennel Club as a breed specific rescue.
• Most importantly we have successfully helped to rehome 23 Kerry Blue Terriers.
